In Episode 15 we see the return of Gwyneth Paltrow playing Holly Holliday, the substitute sex education teacher. She comes back and helps the Glee Club with some new songs and Emma because the leader of the school celibacy club.

Glee Episodes Review

Holly Holliday, played by guest start Gwyneth Paltrow, makes a welcome appearance back at McKinley High covering the sex education classes. She informs Will Schuester that the members of his Glee Club are incredibly ignorant about sex, for the age.

Will is happy for Holly to educate the club if she does it with a song, so she performs “Do You Wanna Touch Me (Oh Yeah)” by Joan Jett. Will rehearses Prince’s “Kiss” with her later on which does involve them kissing, but Holly refuses to allow it to go any further, convinced she would hurt him.

Sue, always seeking to cause trouble and director of rival Glee Club Aural Intensity, visits Kurt and Blaine to tell them that New Directions are planning to perform a sexually provocative number for the Regionals competition and that she has heard the judges are looking for this type of performance.

Blaine works with the Warblers to sex up “Animal” by Neon Trees, but Kurt’s sexy faces and moves really aren’t! Kurt has no interest in learning anything about sex, which Blaine thinks is dangerous considering their ages and he persuades Burt, Kurt’s dad, to give him “the” talk … about sex.

Meanwhile at McKinley High, Puck and Lauren want to make a sex tape, but Holly informs them that it would be consider child pornography and be against the law. Puck is thoroughly appalled by the idea and signs up with the celibacy club. Emma Pillsbury, the club adviser, doesn’t agree with Holly’s lessons and thinks they are inappropriate for school children. She arranges for the club to perform a wholesome and clean song for the Glee Club.

After some deliberation, she picks “Afternoon Delight” by Starland Vocal Band, not realizing that the song is all about sex! Her husband, Carl, approaches Holly afterwards to get some counseling where he reveals that Emma is still a virgin. Emma admits that she may have feelings for Will and Carl moves out to a hotel until she can sort out her feelings.

Holly also provides some counseling to Santana and Brittany because they are confused about their sexuality. As she joins them for a performance of “Landslide” by Fleetwood Mac, Santana confesses she loves Brittany and wants to be with her but is afraid of being bulled and harassed for having a same sex relationship after seeing how Kurt was treated. Brittany loves Santana too but says she also loves Artie, her boyfriend, and doesn’t want to break up with him. Naturally, Santana is hurt by this.

Puck is in the doghouse with Lauren for joining the celibacy club. He explains that he is attempting to take responsibility for his actions and Lauren kisses him and decides to join too. Quinn appears at the celibacy club too with a large hickey on her neck from where she was making out with Finn. She claims that she burnt herself with a curling iron, but no one believes her.

The parents start to complain about Holly’s teaching methods and she is let go from the school. When she meets with Will she tells him she wants to learn all about romance. Will offers to teach her and they share a kiss.
